I was mainly on detailing and overall structuring, sneaking as many naughty sounds in as I could. Aneek Thapar helped out with some final mixing to get it to punch hard, and Chris McCormack mastered it. For the video project I went to an MRI scan I had done some years ago when I got sudden tinnitus and the doctors wanted to check everything was ok in there. I was interested in whether we could animate the brain images as a way of telling the story, and the touchdesigner maestro Hayk Zakoyan absolutely nailed it. It's become one of my favourite parts of the new 3DAV show. Many thanks for having a look and a listen. Hayk Zakoyan The creative process began with a dive into the internal world of the artist - quite literally, using MRI scans of Max’s brain. My goal was to transform this biological data into a living, breathing entity. I approached the brain scans not as distinct objects, but as a terrain to be cultivated. Using generative art techniques and natural growth algorithms, I created a system where the visuals are driven entirely by the audio. As the music flows, it triggers organic fluctuations in the imagery, turning the rigid data of the MRI into a fluid, evolving structure. It is a visual metaphor for the living mind - constantly shifting, reacting, and creating new worlds in real-time.
